Menopause and mood swings

It´s quite typical of this stage of life, that some psychological factors enhance mood changes. Apart from the obvious hormonal changes that take place in the body, well, women are at this stage often faced with additional stressfactors, such as dealing with teenage children or the need to provide special care to their elderly parentes. And don´t forget the feelings of loss, such as saying goodbye to the ability of having children and an eldering body.

For all these reasons, it is relatively common (30%)  depression climacteric women, with or without anxiety, and this is manifested in insecurity, fear, anger, sadness, apprehension or even exaggerated health concerns. depression

So how can we handle this stage of our lives in teh emotional aspect?  Well, talk to your family and friends about how you are feeling and they will probably give you support. Don´t stress, do some yoga, get your beauty sleep, don´t multitask. Spend some relaxed time with your family. Go on a retreat for the weekend if you have the oportunity. Don’t take yourself so seriously, have a laugh, dance, sing and travel like you used to do and make sure you make these years worth remembering!
